Quote of the month
9th July 1942
It was agreed that we’d go into hiding on 16 July. Because of Margot’s call-up notice, the plan had to be moved forward ten days, which meant we’d have to make do with less orderly rooms.
Anne M Frank
New Anne Frank drama
A new television miniseries based on the Diary of Anne Frank was shown on BBC 1 at the beginning of January. The drama had been widely awaited and did not disappoint. Deboragh Moggagh, who wrote the screenplay for the latest Pride and Prejudice film, has created a realistic image of life in hiding for the Franks, the van Daan's and Mr Dussel.
To accompany the drama, the Anne Frank Trust have produced a range of resources for teachers, students and all those interested in learning more about the BBC Drama and the Diary of Anne Frank. The resources are free to download from our dedicated BBC Drama website and suitable for all ages of Key stage 2 and 3. A DVD of the full series will be available to buy from the 12 January from our new online shop.
