Welcome to the Anne Frank Trust UK
The Anne Frank Trust UK is the British partner organisation of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. Our mission is to draw on the power of Anne Frank's life and diary to challenge prejudice and reduce hatred, encouraging people to embrace positive attitudes, responsibility and respect for others.
Here's how we do it:
- Public exhibitions
We offer 5 travelling exhibitions including Anne Frank + You, a major multimedia exhibition visited by over 100,000 people every year and a catalyst for social action in towns and cities across Britain.
- School and Community Projects
Direct work delivering in depth educational exhibitions and workshops to over 20,000 young people across the UK every year with special projects in London, Bedfordshire, the north east and Scotland.
- Work with offenders
Educational projects for prisoners and young offenders reaching over 5,000 individuals every year
- Awareness raising
Throughout the year we carry out activities to raise awareness of the modern day issues that relate to Anne Frank. These include:
The Anne Frank Awards - A powerful education and awareness raising programme celebrating the achievements of those who through their actions have demonstrated the spirit of Anne Frank.
Anne Frank Day - Held every year on 12th June - Anne's birthday - a day to remember the story of Anne Frank in schools and places of worship.
The Anne Frank Declaration - Launched in 1998, the Anne Frank Declaration has been signed by hundreds of thousands of individuals including former President of the United States Bill Clinton and former UN General Secretary Kofi Annan.
