We are delighted to announce the appointment of Heather Boyce as the Trust's first Project Officer for Scotland. Heather started work in May 2008 and brings to the Trust a wealth of educational experience as well as a passion for bringing young people together in areas that are most effected by social tensions.  The Trust's first Scottish office will open in Falkirk in late July 2008.

With funding from the Barcapel Trust, we will start by delivering exhibition and workshop programmes in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Fife. The first projects will take place in partnership with:

-         Celtic Football Club

-         Strathclyde Police

-         Glasgow City Library Service

-         Renfrewshire Council

'In the lead up to National Holocaust Memorial Day 2009, which will be held in Renfrewshire, we will be working closely with The Anne Frank Trust Scotland. We are wholly supportive of the very important work the trust does in making young people in Scotland today aware of the lessons that can be learned from Anne Frank’s story.'

Provost Celia Lawson, Renfrewshire Council

Interested in taking part?

If you are a teacher or youth worker based in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife or surrounding areas and would like your school/youth group to take part in the project, please contact us at education@annefrank.org.uk

'The exhibition was a tremendous success for the school and I would like to thank The Anne Frank Trust for this opportunity as I strongly believe we all gained a great deal from it. Pupils not only gained considerable knowledge of the Anne Frank story, but also gained in personal/social skills. The project coincided with parents’ evenings which allowed us to open the event to the parent community who attended in force. Parents spoke very positively of the experience and thought the guides had done an amazing job'

Iain Campbell, Headteacher, St Margaret’s School Polmont
