Senior Management Team
Gillian Walnes, Executive Director
Gillian was one of the founders of The Anne Frank Trust UK in 1990 and has been its Executive Director since then. Prior to this, she was the UK representative for the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam and has long been involved in human rights campaigns and initiatives. She is an experienced TV and radio broadcaster.
Ross White, Director of Resources
Ross joined the Trust in July 2005 as Director of Resources, having worked in similar roles within the Arts Council and in hospices. A former neutron physicist, Ross joined the not-for-profit sector following an MBA at Nottingham. Ross is also on the management consultant network of the Charities Aid Foundation. His role covers the area of internal operations including finance, HR, IT, premises and Company Secretarial duties.
Lucy Glennon, Head of Education
Lucy joined the Trust in early 2004. She manages the educational programmes run by the Trust, including the schools, prisons and awards projects. Her background is in PR and publishing; immediately prior to joining the Trust, she spent three years co-ordinating one of the UK’s largest commercial awards ceremonies, as well as being the marketing manager for a technology magazine. Lucy gained her BA in Politics and Communication, and she is now studying for a Master’s degree in Holocaust Studies at University College London. She has key involvement in the production of the Trust's promotional and publicity materials in addition to her primary role controlling its educational output.
Marsha Selwyn, Office Manager
Marsha joined The Anne Frank Trust UK in February 2003 as Administrator. Having spent the previous 10 years as Managing Director and General Manager of an independent London health club she was looking for a change of direction and was delighted to have the opportunity to become involved with the work of the Trust. Prior to that her background was as a legal secretary.
Paul Tyack, Head of Fundraising and Development
Paul joined The Anne Frank Trust UK in spring 2005, having been struck by the integrity, commitment and vision of the charity. He is responsible for fundraising and development and is determined to deliver the investment required to secure a sustainable future for the organisation. Paul’s career as a charity development worker began with a position in the City fundraising team at Barnardo’s before moving to Family Rights Group, a national legal charity working with families involved in child protection cases. Paul has a degree in music, a post graduate diploma in law and is a JP serving at Stevenage Magistrates' Court.

Elizabeth Andrews joined the Anne Frank Trust UK in January 2007. Originally from the USA, she has been in
Jamie Arden, London Project Manager
Jamie joined the Trust in August 2006. He manages the Anne Frank London Schools Project funded by the Department of Communities and Local Government. Jamie’s background is in the arts and education. He graduated from East 15 Drama School and embarked on a successful acting career in theatre, film, TV and radio. Jamie then decided to move behind the scenes into Theatre Directing and Educational Young People's Theatre. Having worked for various large scale touring theatre companies across the UK, Jamie became Company Director of Realeyes Community Theatre Company, a successful and cutting edge young persons' theatre company, tackling issues around racism, bullying, the Holocaust and drugs education before coming to the Trust.
Steve Gadd, Prison Project Manager
Steve joined the Trust in October 2004 to manage the Prison Project and exhibition tour, co-ordinating with exhibitors in the planning of events and training guides. He has had considerable experience in the entertainment business, having worked in production on the biggest concerts in the UK, as well as corporate events and award ceremonies, from The Rolling Stones at Wembley to the Brit Awards.
Rochelle Hodds, Anne Frank Awards Co-ordinator
Rochelle joined theTrust in May 2004 on a secondment from the John Lewis Golden Jubilee Trust, for a six month attachment. She was integral to the planning of The Anne Frank Declaration for London’s schoolchildren at City Hall and became so committed to the ideals and aims of the Trust that she now works as the Anne Frank Awards Co-ordinator on a part time basis.
Mukith Khalisadar, Project Officer
Mukith Khalisadar joined the Trust in 2006 as a Project Trainee as part of an initiative by DFES and the Prince's Trust. During his first nine months with the Trust, Mukith studied for a professional qualification in Youth Work, and became Project Officer upon its successful completion. Mukith works with
Bookkeeper - Michele Murphy
Michele works in the office one day a week as the Trust's bookkeeper.
