Our Work
The Trust delivers educational programmes across the UK reaching at least 125,000 individuals every year. We have a staff team of 12 supported by an internship programme and over 200 volunteers.
Our work falls into four programmes:
Major public exhibitions
Our public touring exhibitions are a highly effective way of drawing people to the story of Anne Frank and contemporary social issues related to the subject. They also provide an excellent tool in the delivery of citizenship education.
Our largest public exhibitions are often held as part of a wider Anne Frank Festival which acts as a catalyst for a range of social, cultural and community events focusing on the themes of our work.

Schools and Communities
In 2006, we launched Positive Voices a new project to take Anne Frank exhibitions and workshops directly to schools and youth clubs. The project works with young people in areas affected by significant community divisions and has achieved a powerful impact in tackling the root causes of racism and hate crime.

Work with Offenders
Our prison education project started in 2003 and has visited over 40 prisons. At each prison, we display an exhibition, run training workshops and give prisoners and staff the opportunity to hear a Holocaust survivor tell their story. Later in the year we will be introducing our first Open College Network training programme which will be made available to staff and offenders.

Awareness Raising
Anne Frank is a globally recognised figure and the message of peace and tolerance that is contained in her diary has become an international force good.
We are determined to ensure that this message continues to be heard and run a series of campaigns to increase awareness of Anne’s story and related contemporary issues. The principle campaign is the Anne Frank Awards which is a highly regarded programme that seeks to identify and celebrate individuals whose actions have echoed the spirit of Anne Frank.
