Bee Klug MBE, Honorary Life President

Bee is the co-founder and Honorary Life President of the Anne Frank Trust, having been inspired by meeting Anne’s late father, Otto Frank, in the 1960s and hearing his wish to see an educational organisation in his daughter’s name in Britain. Bee still takes an active role in Trust initiatives and gives talks to community groups on the work of the Trust. Bee also founded The Wessex Healthy Living Foundation (WHLF), making homeopathic treatments available to those who cannot afford them. In 2003, Bee received an MBE in the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Honours for her work for the Anne Frank Trust and WHLF.         

Dr Ann Limb, Chair

Born in Moss Side, Manchester in 1953, Dr Ann Limb is the former Group Chief Executive of Ufi Ltd, the UK government’s e-flagship responsible for learndirect and UK on line, the national network of supported e-learning and e-services centres. Since autumn 2004 she has worked in the commercial sector as Vice President of e-learning with the international strategic management consultancy gov3 www.gov3.net as well as working as a government adviser here and overseas. Ann also holds a number of public and private sector non-executive directorships.

Ann spent over 25 years working in the further and adult education sector including 13 years as Principal and Chief Executive of Milton Keynes College (from 1988-1996) and Cambridge Regional College (from 1996-2001).

Ann lives with her partner in Milton Keynes and enjoys the theatre, opera, walking and spending time with her niece and nephew.

Daniel Mendoza, Vice Chair

Daniel became a Trustee in 2003 and is a director of Ereira Mendoza, a commercial property consultancy. Daniel has 20 years’ experience in the business arena and, aside of his property expertise, he has depth of knowledge in the importance of delivering integrity and brand awareness within marketing. He is fiercely passionate about the importance of effecting attitudinal and behavioural shifts and the long term positive impact this will have on society as a whole.

Zak Mockton, Treasurer

Zak was appointed as a Trustee and Treasurer in June 2003. He was Finance Director of Penspen Ltd (an international firm of oil and gas consulting engineers) for the last 7 years, prior to which he was a business analyst engaged on privatisation projects for London Buses Ltd and HMSO. He graduated in Law from Manchester University in 1986, having served as General Secretary of Manchester University Students’ Union as well as Political Affairs Officer (with specific anti-racism brief) for the National Union of Jewish Students.

Adam Leigh

Adam is Chief Executive of The Communications Agency. His career started at Ogilvy & Mather in 1987 as a Graduate Trainee where he was made the youngest Account Director in the agency less than three years later. In 1994 he became New Business and Marketing Director for the agency. During that time, he was named a "Face to watch" by Campaign magazine.

In 1996 he joined Bates UK as a Board Director to oversee the £35m integrated Safeway account. In 1998 he was made Deputy Managing Director. Adam joined Euro RSCG in 2000, shortly afterwards becoming Managing Director.

Despite an advertising background, Adam has always believed in the power of genuine integration and has worked across all communications disciplines on a host of significant accounts including most recently, Halifax, Abbey National and Argos.

Edward Lord, Chair Fundraising Commitee

Edward Lord is Non-Executive Chairman of the Public Private Partnerships Programme, a consultant with executive search firm CF Appointments and also runs a small public affairs and fundraising consultancy practice. Aside from his duties as a member of the City of London, he is also a City magistrate, board member of the Council for the Registration of Forensic Practitioners and of London Strategic Housing, a charity trustee and a member of a Foreign Office advisory board for the British-German Forum at Wilton Park. He is a graduate of the Improvement & Development Agency's Leadership Academy for councillors and serves as a member of the LGA Improvement Board which leads central support to local authorities in improving their performance.

Peter Oppenheimer

Peter is head of Portfolio Strategy, European strategy. He serves on the European Investment Review committee and the Global Investment Committee. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2002 as European and global strategist and became a managing director in 2003. Prior to joining the firm, Peter worked as Managing Director and Chief Investment Strategist at HSBC and was previously Head of European Strategy at James Capel. Prior to that, he was Chief Economic Strategist at Hambors Bank.

He serves on the fundraising committee of the Anna Freud Centre in London, a leading centre for psychoanalytic child psychotherapy.

Peter earned a BSc, first class, in Economics from The London School of Economics in 1985. He and his wife, Joanna, have one child and live in London.            

Dr Eva Schloss

Eva is a survivor of Auschwitz. She is closely connected to Anne, her diary and Otto Frank, who became her stepfather after the War. She has published two books, “Eva’s Story” and "The Promise" - a book for younger children - about her experiences. She does much work in Holocaust education, mainly in schools in this country and in the USA, and has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Civil Law in connection with that work. She was a founder of the Trust.               

Brenda Stern

Brenda joined the Trustee Board in 2004, having been a supporter for a considerable period prior to this. She is the former Head of Public Affairs and Public Policy at one of London’s largest and best respected law firms, Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP). Originally from South Africa, Brenda holds a Master’s degree in International Business and Trade Law from University College London.

Jed Wilson

Jed joined the Anne Frank Trust in November 2005. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Barcapel, a major Scottish based charity foundation, and has over 15 years experience in charity fundraising. Jed ran his own luxury travel business for a decade. More recently he worked for Marriott and currently works in Sales and Marketing on the Corporate side of Expedia®, the largest online travel company in the world. He is also a keen amateur historian and has a special interest in World War II history.

Jed has a BA in Humanistic Studies from McGill University in Montreal. He has two children and lives in Notting Hill, West London.
