In Anne's own words

"...I long to have a home of our own, to be able to move around freely and have someone help me with my homework again, at last. In other words, to go back to school!"

Anne Frank Tree planting campaign

Thank you to all schools, colleges and universities who applied!

Judging of the tree competition entries will take place shortly after the closing date and we will inform the winner by the end of November. We apologise that we may not be able to contact all applicants.

Anne Frank Trees honour and memorialise the millions of children like Anne who have died as a result of persecution, conflict and inhumanity. You have the chance to win one of the few Anne Frank Tree saplings - a graft from the actual tree that was standing in Amsterdam, it is one of only a very few in the world and it therefore carries with it a legacy of hope.

The Anne Frank Tree was a symbol of hope for Anne Frank and the seven others in hiding in the Secret Annexe in Amsterdam. Ever since then, the tree has continued to stand as a symbol of hope and of resistance against the prejudice and hatred that led to Anne Frank's death.
