Anne Frank Poetry Prize 2016

This year, Rebecca Saunders was announced as the winner of the NASUWT Arts and Minds Poetry prize. Her outstanding winning poem was called "The Guilty One".

Arts & Minds is a schools-based competition organised by the NASUWT to celebrate Black History Month. The Competition is open to children and young people from primary, secondary and special schools across the UK.

The UK-wide competition is aimed at promoting race equality and diversity. Children and young people from primary, secondary and special schools are judged in two categories – art and creative writing. The overall winner of the competition will be selected by Gok Wan.

Students are invited to compose poems inspired by the life and message of Anne Frank, although the poems do not necessarily have to be about her.
