DR EVA SCHLOSS MBE, honorary life president
Eva is a survivor of Auschwitz and is the stepdaughter of Otto Frank. She has published three books, After Auschwitz, Eva’s Story and The Promise (for younger children) about her experiences. Eva does a lot of work in Holocaust education, mainly in UK and US schools, and has an Honorary Doctorate in Civil Law in connection with that work. She was a co-founder of the Trust and was awarded an MBE in 2011 for her work.

GILLIAN WALNES MBE, vice president
Gillian was a co-founder of the Trust in 1990 and the Executive Director for 25 years until she retired in 2016. She was our principal spokesperson, managing all communications and leading the Trust’s continued development. Gillian has overseen the staging of nearly 200 public exhibitions, and created and planned many national campaigns and projects, including national Anne Frank Day and the Anne Frank Tree planting programme.
