We feel deeply affected by the murder of Sarah Everard. It is a tragic reminder of what Anne Frank called the “great injustice” of men’s superiority over women (Diary 13.6.44). Far too many women face violence and hatred because of their race, religion, sexuality or disability, as well as their gender. We believe education is the key to meaningful change. We are more determined than ever to build a generation of young people who stand in solidarity with all victims of prejudice and work together for a more equal world.
