Highlights from our Annual Lunch 2025 Today, we held our Annual Lunch to mark Holocaust Memorial Day, a truly special event bringing together friends and supporters from across the UK and beyond. Thanks to your extraordinary generosity, we have already raised an incredible £775,000 towards our vital anti-prejudice work. We would like to offer our special thanks to our corporate sponsor, pladis Global, and the founders of the Annual Lunch, Daphne Schild and the Schild family. All the funds raised will go towards empowering young people to challenge antisemitism and all forms of hatred. If you haven’t yet donated, it’s not too late! Click here to donate now With your support we can inspire young people to stand up to increased prejudice and polarisation. In the words of our Royal Patron and Honoured Guest Her Majesty the Queen: “Let us unite in our commitment to take action, to speak up and to ensure that the words “Never Forget” are a guiding light that charts a path towards a better, brighter, and more tolerant future for us all.” Her sentiments were echoed by our Guest Speaker, Sir Stephen Fry: "Our most sacred duty when passing on and remembering the terrible stories of the Holocaust is to the truth, the absolute truth." We were also reminded of the importance of coming together to challenge prejudice by our host Emma Barnett, who expertly guided us through the event, and by our candlelighters who moved us with their remarkable stories of survival in the face of the Holocaust, genocide in Srebrenica, and more recent hate crimes. In the words of Anne Frank Ambassador Jerrald, aged 14, in our "For a Better Future" film: “We have a huge goal that we can’t accomplish on our own, but if we come together then we can try to make it happen.” Words cannot express how much we appreciated your attendance at the Annual Lunch. Together we can resist prejudice and create a society rooted in equality and tolerance for all. On behalf of everyone at the Anne Frank Trust UK, thank you.
