Farewell to Tim Robertson: Celebrating Seven Years of Leadership at the Anne Frank Trust Congratulations to our Chief Executive Tim Robertson, who is retiring. Tim and his husband Neil are leaving London to settle in the Lake District. Since Tim started at the Anne Frank Trust in 2018, we have reached a record number of young people, achieved outstanding educational impact, raised record amounts of money, and welcomed HM The Queen as our first Royal Patron. Tim says: “I had planned to retire this summer, but a family bereavement means it now feels right to go sooner, and I’m leaving the Trust in excellent hands. I owe a huge amount to the wonderful people I’ve had the chance to work with during my time here, especially the brilliant young people who engage in our education programmes – they give real hope for the future of our world. I appreciate enormously everything I’ve learnt, especially from Jewish colleagues and friends: I will always be an ally to the Jewish community and a believer in the state of Israel. And I’m grateful above all to the extraordinary genius of Anne Frank, the greatest teenage writer the world has yet produced.” Nicola Cobbold, our Chair of Trustees, says: “All of us at the Trust are deeply grateful for Tim’s seven years of dedicated service. He has made an extraordinary impact on our organisation during his tenure, leading us through significant change and growth, and helping to shape the vibrant charity we are today. We wish Tim and Neil every happiness in their new life in Cumbria.” Sarah Nuzum (our Director of Education, Impact and Partnerships) and Judy Silkoff (our incoming Director of Operations) will be Acting Co-Chief Executives while our Trustees recruit Tim’s successor. We hope to have a new Chief Executive in post by the autumn. Manage Cookie Preferences
